It's Christmas Time!!!

This picture is from last year- still don't have any taken for this year but I think it is a pretty cute one!!

I got this as an email this morning from my mom and sister and thought it would be more fun to do it on my blog so that I could share it with more people. Feel free to add it to yours as well- just use your answers- not mine!!

Welcome to the 'Christmas Edition' of getting to know your friends. Try not to be a SCROOGE!!!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for Kiddos but bags for everyone else- easier!

2. Tree--Real or Artificial? Artificial- real ones make my nose go crazy which ruins the whole Christmas experience for me!

3. When do you put Christmas tree up? The day after Thanksgiving since it is a very great holiday and deserves it due attention -ok off my soapbox now!

4. When do you take the tree down? Around January 15th which is the Epiphany.

5. Like eggnog? Noooooooooo!!

6. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes- I have one big one, a Little People one and a few others. I love Nativity scences.

7. Favorite gift received as a child? My First Cabbage Patch Kid!!! I am such a cheeseball that I cried!!!

8. Hardest person to buy for? Male name exchange for my mom's side of the family- guys are really hard to buy for!!

9. Easiest person to buy for? My beautiful, fun little girlie!!

10. Worst Christmas gift? The almost sweater from my mom- sorry mom. It was the horrible sweater that she bought for me and usually she has really great taste but I think she was having a really bad day when she saw that sweater. She showed it to me before Christmas thank goodness and I almost died. I would never have worn it. She was such a good sport about it and we were able to compromise- she would take it back and I would never bring it up again- Sorry again mom!!!

11. Mail or email Christmas Card? Mail but sometimes they aren't Christmas Cards but New Years Cards or Valentine's Cards depending on how organized I am since I make my cards each year!

12. Favorite Christmas movie? The Little Drummer Boy- This movie was my downfall. As a child, I would cry everytime it was on because I thought it was such a sweet movie and I felt like he was such a wonderful little drummer. I think that was the beginning of every tear I have shed at movies!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Planning in Early November, shopping not until December.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes I have but not to any of you fabulous people!

15. Favorite food to eat on Christmas? Mom's Sugar Cookies and Grandma Hahn's Dressing

16. Clear or colored tree lights? Colored on the Christmas Tree but White everywhere else!

17. Favorite Christmas Song? What Child Is This and Silent Night

18. Travel during Christmas or Stay home? Last year we stayed home but this year we are traveling. Both ways have pluses and minuses but I like being with family. Too bad they are not closer so we could have Christmas morning at our house. Maybe someday.

19. Can you name Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph (who isn't one of the original reindeer but IS the most famous one of all).

20. Star or Angel on Tree top? Angel but I think I want a Star next year.

21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? With Nora on Christmas Morning but with everyone else, whenever we can find some time because we have so much family to see.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Just not enough time and money to do the things I want to do for everyone.

23. Do you attend Christmas Eve services? We go whenever we can either Christmas day or Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve is at Midnight so it really doesn't work well with a 3 year old!

24. Do you have any family traditions observed during Christmas? Tommy and I have one that we started with Nora which is that all Santa gifts are wrapped in brown wrapping paper with Santa Ribbon around it. When we have more kids, each one will have their own ribbon with Santa. It looks really neat under the tree on Christmas morning. This picture is from last year- don't worry I am not that together this year!!

25. Who do you wish you could see on Christmas? I wish I could see my friends who have moved so far away. Chantel, Anna and Carrie- I miss you tons!!!

I hope that you all enjoyed learning more about me! I will not be tagging anyone to put them on the spot BUT I will be checking your blogs to see who is a Scrooge and who is not!! :)

Jo- Nicely done! I was so excited to see that you finally added a new post. Nora is so cute, I can't wait to take more pictures of her this year. I think it is a really cool idea the way you wrap her gifts from Santa. You will have to help me think of something cool one day. Love you and I can't wait to see you all at Christmas.

Jodie,
I love that brown paper and ribbon idea - that may be something I take up.
