1- I got to go out to eat on a lunch date with my hubby which we have not done in so long. It was really nice to get to eat what I wanted- chocolate cake for dessert- and to have total adult conversation with my best friend in the whole world. He has been gone so much lately that it was nice to have him all to myself for a whole hour!!
2- I got a very special little birthday cake made for me by my sweet little girl and my mom. Nora worked so hard on it- it was completely covered in sprinkles and she insisted that I eat it before I had time to take a picture but I promise that it was absolutely adorable. She and my mom made a big cake for everyone and then used one of her play metal dishes to bake a small cake just for me. She was so proud of herself.

Yes, Yes-- It's true! - I got tickets to see WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom and dad got them for me with a little help from my hubby. I am so totally excited about this. It is at the FOX in St. Louis which is such a great place anyway but now it will be even better because I am going to see Wicked there! I still can't believe it! I have wanted to go to this show for almost 2 years now- since I read the book. The book itself is pretty good- odd at times- but still good. The show is on Dec 16th and we are going to spend the night in St. Louis with my aunt as well so it will be a fun trip. It will be great to get dressed up with my hubby for something not related to Medical school and have a great night at the theater while my aunt puts my kiddo to bed!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I also got some really great gifts from my other friends and family as well such as a wonderful apron (made by Raquel) from my best pal, Chantel, a new stamp set which I am dying to use from my pal Carrie, a beautiful brown coat from my pal Anna (who I really miss way too much) and money from the in-laws which will of course got toward more stamping stuff for my hostess month in February!!
Overall, this was one of the best birthdays ever!!!! Maybe my 30's are better than my 20's!! :)
