Daddy's Little Helper

Nora just loves to help her daddy out no matter what he is doing. In the winter, it is chopping and carrying the wood for the fireplace. Spring and summer, planting flowers and other yard work. Whenever he is in the garage working on a project or just cleaning up, she is right there helping him sweep or build.
She is a great little helper because she helps out for a little bit and then is off to play so her "helpfulness" is not too overwhelming for him.

Whenever she is helping, safety is always very important as you can see by this picture. She has her little ear protectors on while daddy is using the saw. Don't worry, she stays far away from the saw. Her job is to hold the really long board still so that daddy can make a straight cut (see the above picture). She takes her job very seriously. I just love to watch these two together! Sometimes, she is so much like him it is sort of scary.



By the way, the project that they are working on is our front porch which is a VERY long story that I will save for another post whenever it is completely done so you can see the finished product!! Let's just say that when my husband gets some time off, he ALWAYS has to have a BIG project to work on whether or not it is really necessary!!
