So on Saturday, Nora used her very last diaper ever! To celebrate, we had a no more diapers party which consisted of dinner at Old McDonald's (just McDonald's to most of us but not to our little Nora) and a yummy pink cake with cream cheese icing and sprinkles! Nora got to pick both of these choices. I have been reading a new book on potty training and have really like it and one of the suggestions was to have a party to celebrate when the child is not wearing diapers anymore. So I thought that would be good for her and she liked it. She had not asked for a diaper one time since we started wearing big girl panties only. The last few days have been nothing but accident after accident but this morning we had our first success- she peed in the potty!! She was sooooo proud of herself and so excited to get that skittle!! She has been really trying to go more often and I am excited about the progress so far.
I have really been dreading this sooooooooo much! I have worked with children for most of my life and have always hated potty training. I have never taken a class of two year olds for this exact reason! I was talking to my fiend, Jayne, who has potty trained 3 or her 4 kids and she told me that she was just about ready to give up on one of hers and go back to diapers when he finally just got it! I am so hoping and praying that Nora will just get it and then it will be done!! I guess time will tell- right!!

Can I send Landon your way when it's time to train him? After 3 I don't think I have the energy to do another one. Maybe his kindergarten teacher won't mind changing his diaper?

My little NoNo is getting to be such a big girl. It is hard to believe she will be three. You pass on to her that her Aunt LaLa is very, very proud of her and will be bringing her something special when she comes next week.
