Clarification: I did NOT make her do this!!

So yesterday we headed down to St. Louis for a day of house hunting, shopping and dinner with friends. As we were getting in the car to leave, Nora asked again where we were going and I told her the events of the day in the order they would be happening- Go to Aunt Darla's and play while mommy and daddy look at houses, then shopping at the mall and... At this point she tells me "Hey, if we are going to the mall, then I can get my ears pierced." I stop and look at her and smiling, say "Are you sure you want to do that. You can if you want but are you sure?" Her response "Yup."

So all day long she kept saying she wanted to do get them pierced. As soon as we got the mall, I she wanted to do it right then. We headed over to Claire's' to check out if there would be two people on at anytime. They said if we came back in about an hour later, there would be two people happy to do it. So we shopped for awhile and she just kept asking when she could go get them pierced. Finally we headed over there and here is what happened shown in pictures:








SHE DID IT!!!! Between the tears, she said in a very sad, crying voice "Mommy that hurt very badly." I don't think that she really knew what they were going to do but she did it. I had explained it all to her a while ago but not recently. So now it is done and she is excited to get to wear some of my little earrings from a long time ago!! I am so proud of her!! And again- I did NOT make her do it- she totally wanted to!!

Oh yeah and isn't it amazing how a sticker, a sucker and a carousel ride with daddy can make those tears stop!!
