Eye Contact by Cammie McGovern and is about an autistic boy who witnesses a murder. The author herself is the mother of an autistic child and I was impressed with the way she wrote about Adam, the child in the book. I felt like I really understood him better than some of the other characters in the book. It a book that started off a little confusing for me because the author does not distinguish characters much in the beginning but as the story unfolds, it is easy to see why she does this. It makes the plot much more complicated and intricate. I started this book yesterday and finished it today because I could not wait to see what happened. The story is a mystery- suspense story but also has a very strong family theme to it. I really enjoyed this book because it keep me wanting more but was not scary or gross. The murder in the book is discussed but only facts are given and while the focus of the story revolves around the murder, it is not what I would consider the focus of the book. I throughly enjoyed this book!!
